A shocking incident unfolded in Delhi’s Kalyanpuri area, where a Delhi Police constable allegedly shot his wife dead in broad daylight on her birthday following a heated argument. The incident, which occurred on a busy public road, left passersby in shock and sparked panic in the area.

According to police, the couple was travelling on a scooter when they got into an argument. In the middle of the road, the constable allegedly stopped the scooter, pulled out his service weapon, and opened fire on his wife at close range.
The woman collapsed on the spot as stunned bystanders rushed to help her. She was taken to a nearby hospital in an autorickshaw but succumbed to her injuries during treatment.
After the shooting, the accused fled the scene. Delhi Police has launched a massive manhunt and is examining CCTV footage from nearby areas to trace his movements. Multiple police teams have been formed to arrest the absconding constable.
The victim’s family has alleged that she had been facing dowry harassment and repeated domestic abuse since her marriage. They claim the murder was not a sudden act of rage but the result of prolonged harassment.
Police are investigating these allegations along with other possible motives, and further legal action will depend on the findings of the investigation.
