Russia carried out another wave of airstrikes on Kyiv and surrounding areas on Tuesday, killing at least nine people, including three children, and injuring more than a dozen others. Fires were reported across the capital as residents faced another round of air-raid alerts.

The strikes also damaged residential and commercial buildings, while attacks were reported on energy, border and logistics infrastructure. Ukraine said the latest assault marks the sixth consecutive day of Russian attacks on the Kyiv region.
The renewed violence comes as diplomatic efforts to end the war continue. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy has held discussions with US representatives, while Kyiv continues to seek international support for a negotiated end to the conflict.
