Rahul Gandhi Targets Exam Paper Leaks Ahead of ‘Chhatron Ki Goonj’ Campaign in Uttarakhand

Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi has intensified his criticism of the Uttarakhand government ahead of the Dehradun leg of the Congress party’s ‘Chhatron Ki Goonj’ campaign, scheduled for July 17. Addressing the issue of repeated examination paper leaks, Gandhi alleged that the state has become the “epicentre of paper leaks” and questioned the government’s ability to safeguard the future of students.

In his remarks, Gandhi stated that the issue goes beyond a simple examination leak, describing it as “theft” that robs young people of their hard work and opportunities. He also claimed that despite anti-cheating laws being introduced, recurring incidents have continued to undermine the credibility of recruitment and competitive examinations in the state.

The Congress campaign aims to engage with students and raise concerns over examination transparency, recruitment processes, and employment opportunities. The issue of paper leaks has remained a major political and public concern, with demands for stricter enforcement, greater accountability, and systemic reforms to restore confidence in the examination system.
