New Delhi: Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke has been diagnosed with typhoid, but he has made it clear that his illness will not stop the ongoing student movement. In a video message shared on Saturday, Dipke said he had been unwell for the past few days and medical tests confirmed the infection. He added that he is currently undergoing treatment and receiving intravenous (IV) drips while recovering.
Despite his health condition, Abhijeet Dipke thanked supporters for continuing peaceful demonstrations across the country. He said the movement has grown because of the efforts of students and volunteers, not just one individual. Dipke reiterated that the agitation demanding education reforms and the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan would continue until the protesters’ key demands are addressed.
The development comes as the Centre and CJP representatives continue discussions over the protest’s demands. While activist Sonam Wangchuk has ended his hunger strike after receiving government assurances on some issues, CJP leaders have maintained that their campaign is far from over. Abhijeet Dipke said he remains confident that the movement will continue peacefully and urged supporters to stay united while he recovers from typhoid.
