The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially declared the results of the NEET UG re-examination, bringing relief to thousands of medical aspirants who appeared for the retest. The re-exam was conducted for eligible candidates who were affected by issues during the original examination, including technical problems and other approved circumstances. Candidates can now check their revised scorecards on the official NEET portal using their application number and date of birth.
The updated scores will be used to prepare the revised merit list, which will determine the rankings for admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, and other undergraduate medical courses across the country. The revised rankings are expected to play a crucial role in the admission process for the 2026 academic session, ensuring that eligible candidates are considered based on their updated performance.
Following the declaration of the results, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is expected to begin the counselling process for the 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats shortly, while individual state counselling authorities will announce schedules for the remaining 85% state quota seats. Candidates are advised to regularly check the official websites of the NTA and MCC for counselling dates, registration, choice filling, seat allotment, and other important updates as the admission process moves forward.
