Patiala, 3 August 2026: Continuing its commitment to promoting emergency preparedness and life-saving awareness, the 108 Ambulance Service successfully organised a First Responder Program (FRP) at Godrej & Boyce Manufacturing Co. Ltd., Binny Warehousing, Village Mehtabpur, Rajpura, District Patiala. A total of 63 participants attended the training session, where they were equipped with essential first aid knowledge and emergency response skills to effectively handle medical emergencies in the workplace.
The training session was conducted by FRP Trainer Jaswinder Singh, who provided practical demonstrations and interactive guidance on CPR, basic first aid, bleeding control, and emergency response techniques. Participants were trained on the importance of the “Golden Hour,” how to remain calm during emergencies, and the correct use of the 108 Ambulance Service. Through hands-on practice and real-life emergency scenarios, they gained the confidence to provide immediate assistance before professional medical teams arrive.
The programme was organised under the supervision of Cluster Manager Amandeep Singh. The session was attended by Mr. Rahul Kapani, Warehouse Logistics Manager, and Mr. Jaspal Singh, Senior Executive, who appreciated the initiative and encouraged participants to apply the knowledge gained during the training in real-life situations. District Medical Commissioner (DMC) Dr. Jaswinder Singh also appreciated the First Responder Program and highlighted its importance in enhancing emergency preparedness and promoting a culture of safety in workplaces.
Project Head Manish Batra stated, “The First Responder Program is aimed at creating a network of trained individuals who can respond effectively during medical emergencies. By equipping employees with practical life-saving skills such as CPR and first aid, we are strengthening workplace safety and ensuring that timely assistance can be provided when every second counts.”
The 108 Ambulance Service continues to conduct First Responder Programs across educational institutions, industries, and community organisations throughout Punjab. These initiatives play a significant role in enhancing emergency preparedness, spreading awareness about life-saving techniques, and developing a network of responsible first responders capable of making a meaningful difference during critical situations.
