Gunshot Scare in Chandigarh’s Sector 26 Turns Out to Be Suspicious Call

A late-night call reporting gunshots near a restaurant in Sector 26, Chandigarh, put the UT Police on high alert on Saturday. The caller informed the police control room that three unidentified men on a motorcycle had opened fire outside a restaurant before fleeing the scene. Acting swiftly, police teams rushed to the area and launched a search operation.

Officers from the Sector 26 police station cordoned off the spot and thoroughly inspected the area. They also reviewed CCTV footage from nearby cameras to verify the claim. However, investigators found no evidence of any firing incident. No bullet shells, damaged property, or witnesses confirming the alleged gunshots were found during the search.
